The viscosity of a liquid to be pumped is a very important parameter when selecting and designing a pump. And the specification must be made specifically with a numerical value and the correct physical unit. As the temperature has a major influence on the viscosity, it is also important that the viscosity is specified for both the minimum and maximum fluid temperature.
